The Challenge

Setting the stage for an online game-experience like no other. Really though, the idea behind the game is in-depth and needs explanation. How do we both explain the rules and convince the users to convert and play?

The Solution

Visuals that leverage a clear ‘versus’ undertone as well as a simple step-by-step walkthrough on the homepage. A dynamic design reflects the competitive nature of the game while a clear path to try the game for free leads into user registration.

The Outcome

A fun, energetic hub feeding off of the idea of dueling your friends and seeing who knows who best. The clean, sleek UI design clarifies the not-so-famaliar game structure with several Call-to-Actions directing the user to register.

Here we like to put together a general feel of what the overall brand can gravitate towards. Whether it’s bold colors with alot of movement or subdued colors with soft gradients. All of these factors have a say in what your brand exudes.

Two words: User registration. Enticing the visitors with an energetic environment that sets TwoTube as a place to vibe and compete with your friends and then creating a clear path to user registration is key to converting.

Clarify exactly how the game is played without overwhelming the users. Create an exciting space to get potential users interested with digestible amounts of information.

Create a space that the users can try for free, without fully registering. Entice them with the opportunity to win a prize for participation.

03.

Blaze a crystal clear path to register. Allow them to do so within the sticky nav and strategically place opportunities throughout the site.

Brand Exploration

Once the logo direction has been chosen, the homepage is wireframed, approved, and then used to expand on the brand. The head-to-head nature of the game is shown throughout competing visuals with a plethora of ‘play’ icons and music visual cues.

Weekly Vid-Duels

The Vid-duel of the week allows players to try out TwoTube for free while having a chance to win the week’s player prize.

Web Application User Flow

The player user flow was created before the UI design for the portal. The portal design was pulled directly from my homepage design and executed by a different designer.

The Playing Field

Here is where the actual gameplay takes place. Depending on whether your a picker, a plucker, or a judge, your interface will change from week to week.
